A Magical Craftwood Peak Wedding in Manitou Springs - Told Through Details
Tucked into the heart of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Craftwood Peak is one of those rare wedding venues that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time, or maybe even into another world. With it's old-world tavern charm, winding stone walkways, rich wood beams, and cozy little nooks, it was the perfect setting for this unforgettable wedding.
While this couple chose to keep themselves and their guest's private, a choice a wholeheartedly respect, they are thrilled to share some of the stunning wedding details that made their day so meaningful. This wasn't just a wedding; it was a celebration of love, friendship, and the passions that brought them together.
Old-World Charm Meets Fantasy Magic
From the moment I arrived, I knew this wedding would be somethign truly unique. The couple are Dungeons & Dragons fans, and they infused their favorite game into the celebration in the most beautiful ways.
In their flatlay photos, you'll spot DnD dice tucked amongst the rings. This was truly a playful and personal detail!
The groom's suite was adorned with a suit of armor in the loft, adding even more medieval tavern vibes to Craftwood Peak's signature charm. Everywhere you turned the venue's old-world feel set the stage that was intimate and joyful.
Jewel-Toned Florals & Whimsical Desserts
The florals were absolutely magical - a rich mix of jewel tones like deep purples, ruby reds, emerald greens, and sapphire blues, all popping beautifuly against the rustic backdrop of Craftwood Peak.
The celebration continued with a fun and refresting lemonade bare alongside hors d'oeuvres giving guests the perfect way to toast the newlyweds.
And the desserts? Pure magic. The wedding cake was decorated with a mountain scene and topped with the sweetest little dragons, a nod to the couple's love of fantasy and DnD. And the cupcakes? Each one was topped with delicate fondant flowers in green, blue, and purple, bringing a whimsical touch to the dessert table. It was the perfect balance of temptation and personality!
A Celebration Overflowing with Love
Even though the couple chose to keep their portraits private, you can feel the love in every photo of this day. From heartfelt toasts to the quiet moments and laughter between family and friends, this was a wedding filled with connection, joy, and so much meaning.
Moments like these are why I love photographing intimate weddings. It's not just about the portraits, it's about the atmosphere, the details, and the emotion woven through it all.
